10
Preferred Alignment Evaluation  Criteria
  • Minimize Impacts on Existing Homes and Businesses
  • Public Input/Survey
  • Minimize Public Cost
  • Remaining Environmental Impacts

  • These are essentially the same criteria that were used to evaluate the corridors.
11
Alignment Selection Results
  • Alignment 4 ranked the highest
    • Fewest number of homes located in the right of way
    • Received the most support from public input/surveys
    • Lowest estimated project cost
    • Comparable environmental impacts

12
Alignment 4 Concerns
  • Lack of drainage outlets (streams/ditches) north of Bunty Station Road
  • Number of slightly impacted parcels
  • Can Alignment 4 be modified to improve drainage and further reduce the number of impacted parcels?
13
Modifications for Alignment 4
  • North of Bunty Station, alignment was shifted to improve drainage and still cross Bunty Station and US 42 at approximately the same location
  • Beginning at Hyatts Road, slight adjustments east or west reduced the number of impacted parcels from 58 to 54
